Welcome! In this article we'll show you how to access your Sandbox course in Canvas. We'll explain how to enter your Sandbox for the first time or from your dashboard if you've already used your Sandbox before. Let's get started!
Login To Your Canvas Account
Start by going to the Canvas Login Page and use your normal BYU-I credentials to login. You may need to use Dual Authentication to get in.
Is this the first time you are accessing your sandbox?
There are multiple ways to access your sandbox. Select the answer that best applies to you.
Accept your course invitation
An invitation should appear at the top of your screen to join your Sandbox Course as a teacher. Click "Accept" to gain access as an instructor.
Check out your new course
From here, you can explore your sandbox. Go ahead and make changes as you wish. Please note that you will not be able to keep this course in future semesters. A template has been imported so you can see how the course looks with content in it.
Go to your Sandbox course
On your dashboard you should see your Sandbox course. Click on the course card to open it.
